Hello...A brand new project is afoot!!! (That is what I just said in French as I am feeling it is a Frenchy kind of day... Une merveilleuse journée (A Wonderful day)
As you all very well know, I am a fannatic of vintage fashion, thrifts and making new from the old! So when I rooted through the depths of my Narnia wardrobe, dodged the fern trees, tripped over the lamp post and told Mr Tumnus I was too busy for tea, I found a gorgeous vintage tea dress, in yellow, white and purple. A thick strapped, fitted top with a floaty skirt bottom with a vintage tea rose pattern. I thought "I can't remember the last time I wore this dress, pretty as it is..." And then I decided, I do not have a Peplum style top to add to my ever growing collection. And so my new project of today is to cut the dress in half and turn it into a Peplum top and skirt! I cannot wait to get home and get crafty! Hopefully if I am quick (but careful) I will be able to wear it tonight when I go out for a lovely meal with my lovely best friend! So wish me luck, Souhaitez moi bonne chance, and stay tuned for pictures of either a miracle of dress design or a disaster!
Coudre un fil en tirant l'aiguille, la note à suivre donc, thé une boisson avec de la confiture et du pain, qui va nous ramener à la biche biche biche biche!
Sew a needle pulling thread, la a note to follow so, tea a drink with jam and bread, that will bring us back to doe doe doe doe!
