World's Finest Stationary Collection

I sat in my Geography class about 2 hours previous to this post. I sat next to this girl who always has the neatest pencil case and array of stationary that anyone has ever seen. All the pencils are in pristine condition, sharpened, in colour coordinated order and I bet that she cleans her rubber each night. I had drawn a series of illustrations based on the programme, Black books and felt a urge to colour them in. I, being me, had no pencil crayons, no felt tips and no decent stationary what so ever. I caught the whiff of new stationary in the air, sniffing, I followed the clean scent and my eyes landed on a rainbow array of pens in their very own, individual stands. The holy grail of light shone from the classroom ceiling onto these fine specimens. I wanted to touch them, to feel their shiny surface between my fingers and colour to my hearts content...but I couldn't! They were her collection...not mine and I hadn't the courage to ask if I could borrow them. I simply had to make do with my clicky Biro that I got free from the college and the naff pencil which my friend gave to me as a good luck charm for one of my exams. That's life!
