Alas....georges porges une petit francais chat! My cat Georges has supplied me with so much inspiration over the years. Inspiration for my cartoons, my stories and my blog posts. He always happens to be around when I am madly searching for inspiration- this could be because he seems to live on my bed! I have never met a cat who enjoys to sleep more! He wakes up when my dad leaves for work at about half six then he creeps up to my room and scratches at the door till I let him in. He will then stay there long after I have left for college, he blends in with the cushions. He may slump downstairs for lunch around three and then wander outside to catch the odd mouse, or chase a rabbit or pheasant and then he will return nonchalantly demanding his evening meal. Once he has wolfed that down with the speed of lightening he will curl in front of the log fire for hours before we move him to his bed and say goodnight! That is his routine. It is lovely always having him there in my room, it makes me feel less lonely and like my room is a hip and cool hang out place for felines! (Of course there is only one!) There was a time when Georges lived outside and never came in, this was when he was young and spritely and not riddled with old-age! My mum and I talk to him in french and are convinced that he is a gay puss-cat! He wears dimante collars in purple and pink. There once was one with a flower charm, purple holographic with a fluffy trim. some say it is encroaching on cat cruelty and that the other cats of the neighbourhood will laugh at him but we view it as love!
