Musical Discovery & a new favourite film

it started with one film, which lead to another which helped me embark on what I feel could be a new favourite musical sensation for me. An advert for Garden State was shown before I watched the life aquatic (another greatly quirky film) Garden State is, in the words of cinema-blend,

"Garden State also succeeds in becoming a really deep story without being heavy handed. There’s some really great symbolism in the film if you want to look for it and if you don’t, eventually you get the meaning of the symbolism through the story. It’s rare for a movie to have so many memorable quotes and scenes you connect with these days, especially a film you connect with because it shows something that’s pretty real - this is life, it is troubled relationships and pain just as frequently and sometimes more than it is good times and parties with friends. Zach Braff gets that, and communicates it well through his first picture."

It was the song, 'Let Go' by Frou Frou and Imogen Heap that held me during the movie trailer. it made me feel uplifted and inspired, so I did everything I could to hunt down the dvd. After watching it I felt that I had regained a certain element of my individuality and wanted to run into a field and whoop and scream.

After this I researched Imogen Heap through youtube and discovered that she had this ethereal, raw talent. she is edgy and new age amazing and definitely worth a listen...
