So here we are in the UK and surprise, surprise….it is Raining, again! The Rain is being accompanied by it's very good friend the wind and Daisy and I cannot take it anymore. On our route to work we passed more 'Flood Warning' signs than we did cars (then again, it was 6:30 in the morning, only fools would be up at that time!) The day before was worse! Due to the severe rain, my visibility was low and I misjudged the size and depth of a massive puddle, spanning across my side of the road….inevitably, I ploughed right through it...this produced a Tsunami wave, through which Daisy and I hurtled!!! When I reached work, I hung up my sodden clothes and placed a bucket underneath which steadily filled! Today though, minus the rain, the wind must have felt lonely and so, it blew stronger than ever before! As I sit munching on my Cup-of-pasta, I wonder if Daisy has managed to stand up (literally) against the winds brute force!
This mornings attire made me resort to calling myself "Duvet Woman", as I huddled against the wind wearing 2 jumpers, my padded coat, bulky sweatpants, waterproof trousers, wellies, 2 scarfs, 2 pairs of gloves and my helmet! This I contemplate, was not enough! I shall hopefully get it right tomorrow and I know for sure we are to experience bad weather here in the UK, because my fancy, new netbook told me so! It's just one of it's little functions that comes in handy *hand on hip, checks nails* mmm hmm!
